Last week a group of about 30 people gathered around the front of the Museum of Miniature Houses in the Carmel Arts & Design District to celebrate all that is coming to the Museum.   My favorite part?  The miniature groundbreaking display that they set up (there was mini dirt, shovels, trucks – they thought of it all!), check out the pictures:

Look! Even miniature shovels - they thought of it all!

So what are the changes that I mentioned above?  Well, an additional 850 square feet will be added to the front of the current building to allow for a gathering spot, workshops and classroom space.  Also, many exhibits will be seen from the street (but you’ll still have to go inside for a real view of the cool homes).

Look for these changes by the end of 2009!
