Ed & Judy Craig - Conner Prairie
17 people received 2009 Lt. Governor’s Hoosier Hospitality Award for their outstanding service in tourism-related jobs at hotels, restaurants and attractions. These recipients were honored during a ceremony Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the Indiana State House. More than 257,000 jobs in Indiana are supported by $10 billion in visitors spending each year. Hamilton County winners were Ed & Judy Craig who have been volunteering at Conner Prairie for 12 years. The Craigs were nominated because of their hard work and dedication – they are willing to do anything from greet motorcoach groups to work out on the Prairie. When asked about volunteering her time to Conner Prairie, Judy responded; “It provides the three essentials of happiness for us: something to do, something to love and something to hope for.” Ed was quick to add “And it gives us something to do together.”
