Last week our son, Christopher, turned 1.  I have said it before and I will say it again – I cannot believe how quickly time flies!  Anyway, to celebrate this momentous occasion (the party should really be for US for surviving the first year of parenthood), we gathered our family and a few friends at Billericay Park in Fishers, Indiana.  Cool place!

My husband & I rented out the main park building just in case of bad weather, but we were lucky to have a nice, warm day.  The kids all played outside on the playground equipment while the adults watched.  Then we ate lunch and chatted inside while Christopher opened all of his presents (wow, so many toys)….

Before you know it, you’ll wonder how he got to be old enough to play soccer, go to kindergarten, swoon over girls and babysit. Park sounds like fun. I’m a firm believer in bday parties that don’t involve me cleaning my house.

The peekaboo picture is beautiful. You captured the joy of childhood … and the park sounds like a great place for a birthday party!
